INFORMATION
Successfully completing this refresher course fully qualifies you to renew your SIA Close Protection licence. The programme is specifically designed to fine-tune your tactical instincts, upgrade your operational decision-making, and reinforce the elite professional mindset vital to Close Protection Operatives.
The training combines engaging theory, practical exercises, and scenario-based learning. You will complete pre-course eLearning modules from home at your own pace, which reduces the time required in the classroom.


Entry Requirements:
• Aged 18 or over
• Hold a valid SIA Close Protection Licence or have held one within the last 3 years
• Good command of English (spoken, reading and writing)
• Valid photo identification (passport or driving licence)
• To take this course, you must hold a current First Aid at Work qualification valid for at least another 12 months. If you don't have one, don't worry—simply select the FAW course when booking, and we will get you qualified.

Additional Information:
• Renew Early: You can submit your renewal application up to four months before your current licence expires, ensuring there is zero gap in your ability to work.
• Expired Licences: If your licence expired less than 3 years ago, you can take this course to meet current renewal requirements without having to redo your full initial training.

    Assessment Details:  
   
                      Upon completing the course modules, you will undertake a practical search assessment alongside practical Physical Intervention Assessments and three multiple-choice examinations to successfully achieve your qualification.
Please note: The course fee covers your training and examinations only and does not include the SIA licence renewal fee. The licence application and payment must be managed independently through your personal SIA online portal.
