INFORMATION

Keep your qualifications fully compliant. Our Security Officer Refresher course is tailored for existing licence holders who need to meet the latest industry regulations to successfully renew their licence.

The training combines engaging theory, practical exercises, and scenario-based learning. You will complete pre-course eLearning modules from home at your own pace, which reduces the time required in the classroom.

Entry Requirements:

• Aged 18 or over

• Hold a valid SIA Security Officer Licence or have held one within the last 3 years

• Good command of English (spoken, reading and writing)

• Valid photo identification (passport or driving licence)

• To take this course, you must hold a current Emergency First Aid at Work qualification valid for at least another year. If you don't have one, don't worry—simply add the EFAW course onto your booking, and we will get you qualified. 

Additional Information:

• Renew Early: You can submit your renewal application up to four months before your current licence expires, ensuring there is zero gap in your ability to work.

• Expired Licences: If your licence expired less than 3 years ago, you can take this course to meet current renewal requirements without having to redo your full initial training.

   Upon completing the course modules, you will undertake a practical search assessment alongside a multiple-choice examination to successfully achieve your qualification.

Please note: The course fee covers your training and examinations only and does not include the SIA licence renewal fee. The licence application and payment must be managed independently through your personal SIA online portal.
For this course, you must have a valid First Aid Level 3 qualification. If you do not have a valid First Aid Level 3 qualification with a minimum of 12 months remaining only, you can book our EFAW course separately, which runs on the same day.
